Historic Charleston Proposal | Olga + Brian

Olga contacted me for a photography session of her and her boyfriend, Brian, while they were visiting Charleston. Almost immediately, I received a second e-mail from Brian letting me know that this session wasn’t going to just be any ordinary couple’s session. He was going to propose to Olga during it!
As the day approached, there was heavy rain in the forecast (Charleston humidity! Am I right?!). Brian planned a spa morning for Olga where she got her hair & make-up done so I knew that the photographs had to happen at some point on that day. We watched the hourly forecast and managed to squeeze in our hour session in-between the rain! It actually started drizzling on us at the end - perfect timing really!
Scroll through and see if you can spot the raindrops on Brian’s shoulder in one of images below. :)

A Downtown Charleston Anniversary | Anna + Jake

Recently I held a fall themed giveaway on my instagram account. I called it my “fall in love” giveaway (obviously, the pun was very much intended)! One winner would be selected to have a 30 minute session with me at a location of their choosing between downtown Charleston, James Island or Folly Beach. I was already feeling the holiday spirit (yes, I am one of those people! ‘tis the season, all season long!) so I decided to choose 2 winners with 5 runner-ups.

Anna and Jake were one of those 7! She mentioned that she use to work at Anthropologie so right off the bat I didn’t have a doubt in my mind that their outfits wouldn’t be a concern. They spoke about how they haven’t had professional photos taken since their wedding 4 years ago and as soon as I heard that, I was so happy I could be the person to photograph them again! Charleston’s historic and well-known Rainbow Row was their choice of location. We also walked along Meeting Street because, let’s be serious, you can’t go wrong talking a walk around this low country’s downtown streets. Scroll down to see how cute they are - not to mention her skirt (yas girl)!
