Waterfront Mount Pleasant Wedding | The Roberts

I first met Jess & Logan while we were out to dinner with mutual friends. I could see they had amazing chemistry from the moment I met them. Not long after our dinner outing, I received a new email in my inbox. It was Jess & Logan inquiring about wedding packages and an engagement session. I was so excited!
I’d say their engagement session was the windiest and coldest one that I’ve shot so far. They handled it like champs though and fully embraced all of the photogenic couple-snuggles (partly for the warmth I’m sure haha!)
Their wedding reception was filled with stunning florals scattered and draped throughout. Logan arrived at the venue first looking so dapper! I absoutely loved his personalized tie clip. He shared laughs with his family while everything finished getting set up. You could feel everyone’s excitement for the big day. Jess arrived, looking stunning with her hair and make-up already done.. as she walked in she said “HI!! I just want to hug you. I feel like your my friend!” I loved that because I see my couples as so much more than just clients.
The full saying goes: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed,Something Blue, and a Sixpence for her Shoe. Jess handed me Logan’s grandmother’s sixpence coin. We previously discussed this while we were finalizing all of the day-of details & I at the time I had no idea what a sixpence coin was! Did you?? You learn something new every day! Or at least I know I do! haha
Logan said “my favorite moment of the day was definitely seeing my beautiful bride walking down the isle toward me with a big smile on her face.” While Jess said “My favorite memory was our ceremony and how intimate it felt like it was just Pastor Nate, Logan, and myself there in that moment, in God’s presence, professing our love and dedication to one another. I remember feeling so excited to see Logan for the first time that day and it absolutely exceeded my exceptions. I also really enjoyed the 20 minutes we had to ourselves between pictures and the ceremony. Spending just that little bit of time together out of the spotlight was very special to me.”
Their reception was nothing short of a good time. The Midnight City Band rocked it. I had so much fun jamming to them while I worked. I will say that these two weren’t shy about shoving cake into each-other’s faces either! haha. Scroll down to see some of my favorite images from their big day! xox
